Where am I?

It's March in Spokane and it's like we never really had winter. The Spokane Basin's Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) was on a record-low trajectory thru mid February. Rain and warm snow moved us up slightly but it's still quite low: link.

SWE is how much water is available from snow. Snow varies and depth alone is not a good enough proxy for how much water it contains. For example, feet of powder may be equivalent to inches of sleet.

This measure is important for forecasting water availability (or lack thereof), mainly in the summer months.

What am I doing?

I've continued messing around with simple web sites- primarily serving very local needs.
